Ansan City announced on the 21st that the 3rd Ansan International Art Show, where you can meet works in various fields such as Korean paintings, Western paintings, crafts, folk paintings, sculptures, and calligraphy, will be held at the Art Gallery of Ansan Arts center until the 31st of this month.
The Ansan International Art Show, which announced its opening the previous day, will be hosted and organized by the Ansan branch of the Korean Fine Arts Association, with the first part exhibition until the 25th of this month and the second part from the 26th to the 31st of this month.
149 writers working in various fields such as Western paintings, Worean paintings, folk paintings, sculptures, and calligraphy participated in the art show. Eight of them were selected through open recruitment of young artists.
Although foreign artists were not recruited due to the continued spread of COVID-19, the art show added abundance by recruiting 12 artists representing Suwon, Anyang, and Uiwang branches in addition to the Ansan branch.
The art show, which marks its third anniversary this year, will sell works in various fields along with exhibitions of them in one place. In addition, due to the merits that visitors are able to appreciate various artworks and obatin artworks worth collecting, the show is drawing attention from not only art lovers but also ordinary citizens.
Mayor Yoon Hwa-seop said, "I hope the art show will be an active venue for many artists," adding, "I hope many citizens will appreciate sophisticated works and be able to recover their tired daily lives from COVID-19.

아트쇼에는 서양화, 한국화, 공예. 민화, 조각, 서예 등 다양한 분야에서 활동하는 149명의 작가가 참여했다. 이 가운데 8명은 청년작가 공개모집을 통해 선정됐다.
계속되는 코로나19 확산세로 국외 작가 섭외는 이뤄지지 않았지만, 안산지부 외 수원·안양·의왕지부를 대표하는 작가 12명을 섭외함으로써 아트쇼의 풍성함을 더했다.
올해 세 번째를 맞는 아트쇼는 한 자리에서 다양한 분야의 작품 전시와 함께 판매까지 이뤄진다. 더불어, 내방객들은 다양한 미술품을 감상하고 소장 가치가 있는 미술품을 마련할 수 있다는 장점으로, 미술 애호가뿐만 아니라 일반 시민들의 관심도 주목되고 있다.
윤화섭 시장은 “아트쇼가 많은 미술인들의 활발한 활동의 장이 되기를 바란다”라며 “많은 시민께서도 수준 높은 작품을 감상하며 코로나19로 지친 일상을 회복할 수 있기를 기대한다”라고 밝혔다.
