Starting on the upcoming 8th, The Gwangmyeong Lifelong Learning Center will operate on Sundays as well, in order to become a learning space that developes together and closer with the citizens in everyday lives.

 The Gwangmyeong Lifelong Learning Center previously operated from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the 4th stage of COVID-19) and 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays. However, its operation will be expanded to Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m to increase residents' convenience and accessibility.

Last year's April, the Gwangmyeong Lifelong Learning Center transferred to 2 Cheolmangsan-Ro(718-2 Haan-dong), and renovated into a 6-stories building(2 are basement floors) with various complex facilities such as group room, dance room, music room, lifelong learning classroom for people with difficulties, lifelong learning library, shared office, shared restaurant, and media room.

The Lifelong Learning Center has a Doran-doran Resting Area on 1st floor, Oson-doson Book Cafe and Lifelong Learning Library on 2nd floor, Residents' Shared Office on 5th floor where residents could use freely. Moreover, people can pay the rental fee to use

Lecture Room, Media Room, Exhibition Room, and Residents' Kitchen.

Gwangmyeong City will do its best to perform strict disinfection in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and let residents to use the Lifelong Learning Center safely.

지난해 4월 광명시 평생학습원은 지하 2층, 지상 4층 규모로 동아리실, 무용실, 음악실, 장애인 평생학습강의실, 평생학습도서관, 공유사무실, 공유식당, 미디어실 등 다양한 복합시설로 새롭게 단장하여 철망산로 2(하안동718-2)로 이전했다.

평생학습원에는 시민들이 자유롭게 이용할 수 있는 복합문화공간인 1층 도란도란 쉼터 2층 오손도손 북카페 2층 평생학습도서관 5층 시민공유사무실이 있으며, 일정 대관료를 내고 이용할 수 있는 교육시설인 강의실 미디어실 전시실 시민의 부엌 등이 있다.

광명시는 코로나19 확산을 방지하고 평생학습원을 이용하는 시민들이 안심하고 시설을 사용할 수 있도록 방역에 최선을 다할 예정이다.
