Paju City signed a business agreement with the Korea Housing Finance Corporation and NH Nonghyup Bank on the interest support project for youth lease loans on Oct. 5.

The agreement ceremony is aimed at mutual cooperation between Paju City, the Korea Financial HousingCorporation, and NH Nonghyup Bank to reduce the burden of housing costs for young households in Paju City, and details of the agreement will be coordinated through working level consultations in the future.

The youth lease loan interest support project, which will be promoted in 2022, is a project that supports part of the interest on lease loans to young households living on a lease basis, and the Korea HousingFinance Corporationprovides housing finance credit guarantees for loans. NH Nonghyup Bank will play a role in easing the interest burden on young people by implementing and operating preferential interest rate loans.

In addition, Paju City plans to carry out support projects for young monthly rent households at the same time.

Paju City will expand housing support projects for young households, said Choi Jong-hwan, Mayor of Paju City. "We will continue to cooperate with the Korea Housing Finance Corporation, NH Nonghyup Bank, and Paju City young househol ds in the future."

이번 협약식은 파주시 청년 가구의 주거비 부담을 줄이고자 파주시와 한국금융주택공사, 그리고 NH농협은행간의 상호협력을 위한 자리로, 협약에 대한 구체적인 사항은 향후 실무협의를 통해 조율할 예정이다.

2022년 추진되는 청년 전세대출 이자지원 사업은 전세로 거주하는 청년가구에 전세대출금 이자의 일부를 지원해주는 사업으로 파주시는 대출이자를 지원하고, 한국주택금융공사는 대출에 대한 주택금융신용보증서를 제공한다. NH농협은행은 우대금리 대출을 실행ㆍ운용해 청년의 이자부담을 완화하는 역할을 수행하게 된다. 

또한 파주시는 이와 함께 청년 월세 가구에 대한 지원 사업도 병행해 추진할 계획이다.

최종환 파주시장은 “파주시는 청년가구의 주거지원 사업을 확대 추진할 것”이라며 “앞으로 한국주택금융공사, 그리고 NH농협은행과 파주시 청년가구의 주거 안정을 위해 지속적으로 협력해나갈 것”라고 말했다.
