Goyang City has developed a slogan design of "Goyang! Put 30 years, fly to a special city" to mark the 30th anniversary of the city's promotion in 2022 and the first year of Goyang Special City.

The slogan was selected as the best work through the ‘30th anniversary of the city's promotion and the first anniversary of special city slogan contest’ in Goyang in September. The slogan contains a message to fly vigorously as Goyang Special City, which begins anew, looking back on the history of Goyang City for 30 years.

The newly developed design arranged green, red, and yellow colors symbolizing stability, passion, and hope, and expressed the overall meaning of "flying" of the slogan to be well highlighted through the direction of the flying plane.

A city official said, "We plan to promote the slogan created by citizens at home and abroad to establish the identity of the 30th anniversary of the city promotion and promote the pride of the first year of Goyang Special City."

이번에 개발된 디자인은 슬로건 의미를 잘 표현할 수 있도록 안정, 열정, 희망을 상징하는 초록, 빨강, 노랑색을 배열했고, 비상하는 비행기 방향성을 통해 슬로건의 ‘날다’라는 전체 의미가 잘 부각될 수 있도록 표현했다.

시 관계자는 “시민들이 참여하여 함께 만든 슬로건을 대내외에 널리 홍보하여 시승격 30주년의 정체성 확립 및 고양특례시 원년 자긍심을 고취시킬 예정”이라며 “지속가능 행복도시로서 더욱 발전하는 고양시의 모습을 기대해 주길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
