To enhance passenger convenience, the Ministry of Justice has promoted the current immigration screening system.

First, "marriage immigrants, overseas Koreans, and permanent residents" can use the citizen immigration inspection desks in addition to the foreigner inspection desks.

Previously, marriage immigrants who entered Korea with their Korean children had to use the foreigner inspection desks while their children used the citizen inspection desks, causing inconvenience. To address this, the system has been improved to allow marriage immigrants to use the citizen inspection desks as well.

Second, "foreigners aged 17 and older who have registered as foreign residents or filed for residence" can use the automatic immigration gates without prior registration (those aged 7 to 17 require prior registration). Additionally, "foreign tourists aged 17 and older who provided fingerprint and facial data upon entry" can use the automatic immigration gates for exit without prior registration.

For pre-registration, travelers can register at 18 automatic immigration registration centers across the country, including Terminals 1 and 2 of Incheon Airport.

Third, "citizens aged 17 and older who have received a resident registration card" can use the automatic immigration gates without prior registration (those aged 7 to 17 require prior registration), enabling convenient entry and exit.

In the meantime, Rahil Amadova, a marriage immigrant and member of the mentoring group, shared, "As a foreigner, I had to wait for a long time at the foreigner immigration desk, separated from my Korean husband. 사전 등록의 경우 인천공항 제1·2 여객터미널을 비롯한 전국 18개 자동출입국 등록센터에서 사전등록이 가능하다.

셋째, ‘주민등록증을 발급받은 17세 이상의 국민’은 사전등록 없이 자동출입국 심사대를 이용(7세 이상 17세 미만은 사전등록 필요)하여 편리한 입·출국이 가능하다.
