2. Check the ingredients: Even if a product shares the same name as a domestic one, its ingredients and content may differ due to variations in prohibited substances between countries. If you are concerned about banned ingredients, you can verify the list of ingredients on the official product or sales website and search accordingly.

3. Read labels carefully: Thoroughly review the product details and labeling on the packaging. If you experience any adverse reactions such as redness, swelling, or itching, consult a specialist. Avoid using products on damaged skin, and store them out of direct sunlight and out of children's reach.

만약 해외직구 화장품을 구매한 후 피해가 발생하면, 한국소비자원에서 운영하는 ‘국제거래소비자포털(https://crossborder.kca.go.kr) > 상담신청’에서 상담을 신청할 수 있으며, ‘상담사례 > 화장품’에서는 피해사례도 확인할 수 있다.

한편, 식약처는 국내 소비자 보호를 위해 해외직구 플랫폼에서 판매되는 100개 화장품 대상으로 구매·검사 진행 중에 있다. 만약 품질 부적합 제품으로 확인될 경우 해당 사이트 차단, 해외 플랫폼에 판매금지 요청 등 적절한 조치를 할 예정이다.
